People think they can talk over you, step on you, and throw shade at you, like you don’t matter. But what they don’t realize is… heaven takes notes. And God protects His own.
Handle With Care
By Mary Ann Samedi
Be careful.
Watch your mouth.
Check your attitude.
Because the one you’re rolling your eyes at,
the one you’re dismissing,
the one you think you can talk over, step on, laugh at—
might just be God’s child.
And let me warn you,
He don’t play about His kids.
You might think you’re slick—
plotting, gossiping,
throwing shade like it’s confetti.
But heaven’s got receipts.
And God’s got a way of turning tables—
flipping scripts—
making enemies footstools.
See, the world says,
“Survival of the fittest.”
God says,
“Touch not My anointed.”
You can try to push me down,
but watch how He lifts me higher.
You can throw dirt on my name,
but watch Him make me bloom in it.
You can strip away kindness,
but His love? It’s bulletproof.
So go ahead, be reckless if you want.
But don’t be surprised
when the one you tried to break
is the one He uses to shine.
Because here’s the truth—
God protects His own.
Even when people couldn’t care less,
He cares most.
Even when love runs out in the room,
His love overflows.
So the next time you’re tempted
to be cruel, cold, careless—
remember this:
You’re not just dealing with me.
You’re dealing with the God who calls me His.
And trust me—
you don’t want that smoke.
